Guns in national parks

Not particular to North Buncombe but worth mentioning nonetheless because of the dearth of national parks and sites in our area (Blue Ridge Parkway, Smoky Mountains, Carl Sandburg, Andrew Johnson). Loaded guns are now permissible in parks provided owners adhere to the local gun laws in effect. Read more about it here. Where do you come down on this?
