Several road construction updates

Pleasant Grove Road in Weaverville is closed today for bridge inspection, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation Web site. It will be closed until 4 pm today. Traffic is being detoured around Pleasant Grove.

The NCDOT Web site also reports that work continues on a bridge on N.C. Hwy 251 west of Weaverville near Lower Flat Creek Road. That work is expected to continue until September.

what really gets me is that: They have rebuilt this bridge last year and the are inspecting it??? That seems a little suspicious.

This is the bridge just off of Reems Creek Road, correct? It was rebuilt last summer, if I recall correctly.

Monticello road from alexander road to gill branch road will be restricted to one lane during the week possibly for the widening of the road. With a possible lane shift to the new portion by the mid part of this month.
